Troubled Soulz : Anthology Alimentaire {2004-2007} digs deep into the discography of one of Belgian's unsung bands. From the first analog recordings on 8-track in the studio, to explorations in basement upright grooves and live sessions, this collection of songs shows the promise and evolution of a gang of Belgian lads playing their version of black soul trouble music.

In 2003, 72 Soul started Troubled Soulz as a live band, floating between the grooves of hip hop, soul, jazz, roots, rock & reggae. Their first concert immediately got them a selection in the Belgian 100% PUUR Poppunt competition. Influences include Lou Reed, Marvin Gaye, Lee Scratch Perry and The Clash, giving way to a unique sound. Troubled Soulz recorded their first demo in 2004, and toured Belgium's and Holland's seedy bars and backdoor venues extensively. Troubled Soulz disbanded in 2009, as various band members began procreating beautiful babies with beautiful ladies.
